ReMedium 1 mL: monophasic hyaluronic acid filler with MDM Technology

ReMedium is a hyaluronic acid (HA) dermal filler made in South Korea. It is supplied as one 1.0 mL syringe, with or without lidocaine, at an HA concentration of 20 mg/mL. The manufacturer describes it as combining viscoelasticity, long-lasting results and a high safety profile. It comes in three grades, Fine, Mid and Sub-Q. Each grade is available with lidocaine (3 mg/mL) and without lidocaine, so there are six variants.

MDM Technology

The manufacturer states that ReMedium is based on its MDM technology, which has three parts:

  • MBMT (Micro Bead Monophasic Technology): a monophasic gel made of aggregated micro-beads. The viscoelasticity can be adjusted to the purpose of use.
  • DMCT (Divinyl sulfone Multi Crosslink Technology): the gel is cross-linked with divinyl sulfone (DVS) to raise viscoelastic efficiency. The manufacturer says DVS gives complete cross-linking and minimizes pendant cross-linker residue, compared with BDDE.
  • MDAP (Multiple Degree Amphiphilic Purification): multi-stage purification that removes DVS residues. The manufacturer's test data show no detectable divinyl sulfone residue in the tested ReMedium Sub-Q Lidocaine samples.
